STALKER - Call of Pripyat Review

The third installment of GSC Game Worlds STALKER series is called Call of Pripyat. There have been several improvements since the last installment, clear sky.

Namely, the more noticeable improvements are:

  • Greatly improved enemy artificial intelligence.
  • More detail, less empty pointless buildings
  • New anomalies with more though and detail
  • Dozens of new weapons
  • More storyline and progression

It's not uncommon to be traveling through the Zone minding your own business when suddenly you might stumble across a fellow stalker battling it out in a desperate struggle with several mutants.

As well as finding random encounters like this you will also come across many strange and beautiful anomalies as well as a great amount of new scenery. Take the time to explore every nook and cranny, this is the only way to truly experience STALKER Call of Pripyat.

Keep a close eye on every new weapon you come across. New pistol upgrades make handguns a viable weapon rather than a useless trinket and shotguns make short work of zombie and mutant crowds. A great combination of weapons will ensure a quick take down every time.

One of the most enjoyable aspects of the new STALKER is the feeling of progression. It's no longer just about leveling up and finding new weapons. You actually get the feeling that your character is growing and developing as the game continues.

If you have enjoyed the previous two STALKER games then you will definitely enjoy this latest Russian masterpiece. If you haven't but are after a compelling open world RPG experience than look no further then STALKER Call of Pripyat.
